A new year. I slid into the summer month of January by the skin of my teeth. My kids were away, my hubby was away and my sense of ‘enough’ was away. I had a good friend staying, we enjoyed the season, the sun and the summer and I ended up with a timely reminder of why I don’t do that more often. I also gained a relaxed and positive attitude – although that was kind of happening anyway – and an elbow injury. All around about the time the clock ticked over from 2010 to 2011.
Besides the lovely new year celebrations I have also been scrapping my heart out for CHA. I’ve done more BasicGrey layouts for the booth over in Anaheim than ever before, and I’m on to the Prima stuff now. CHA is always busy, I always disappear from facebook and my blog only to have a whole lot of layouts to show you at the end of January.
Do I have any new year resolutions? Sure. I always do. Many of them are gym related – I see some of you rolling your eyes – but I also have scrapbooking goals. This year I want to share more. I plan to update my blog, show my layouts, talk about what I’m doing, where I’m going, who I’m meeting and the projects I’m creating. As scrapbooking has become more and more involved for me, I’ve shared less and less. This year I’ll change that. After my CHA work is done.
I’ll leave you with a layout I created for my Big Picture Class back in October. You’ll recognise the ‘sketch’ or the design, it’s one I use often. It’s a favourite so why not. I hope you enjoy the layout but most of all I hope you enjoy the sentiment. It’s a goodie for this time of year.
laters.
